Today, I really had a good excercise in the morning and afternoon. In the morning at about 9am, met Joshua Tan at his place, we started of out our mini biking marathon from his place at Tampines all the way to East Coast park. The park route connector was about 6km+. We reached ECP slightly close to 10am. By then due to my lack of stamina, I was already quite drained. We both took a drink and rested about 10mins before setting off in the direction of Changi. From east coast park, we cycled all the way to the airport perimeter. The path along the airport perimeter was nearly 4.5km. It was a straight stretch, personally one of my favourites because I got to see planes take off and land right next to me. The sound of the engines blasting from the jets taking of is simply awesome! Managed to spot 2 SQ planes and some other planes from some budget airlines in action taking off and landing. After that stretch, we cycled along the changi coast to changi point. The path along there was quite deserted but the sea breeze was really humid and warm. After 3.5-4hrs on the path, we finally reached Changi Point near noon time. Ah.. that was the time for me to satisfy my craving for the famous nasi lemak there, Joshua took something else intead, I took nearly 30mins to queue for the taste of heaven.. haha.

After our lunch, we detoured out of the park connector route and when through pasir ris instead. The route we took brought us past Changi Prison, the route was really quite bumpy and hilly, we had to cycled up and down a few times, this was really tiring for my tigh. Soon later at about 1pm, mother nature took the turn for the worst, the clouds grew really dark, the wind was really strong and cool, at first I thought this was a relief from the really warm weather we had experienced earlier, but then, it started to pour heavily. Although the rain was really heavy, we still continue to make out way towards tampines, via pasir ris. It was the first time I cycled in such heavy rain, it was quite a struggle for me, as not only I'm drenched and cold, I also had a bit of difficulty looking ahead as the wind and rain was blowing straight into my face. As we neared Tampines, the rain subsided, and as we continued, the rain gradually stopped. We reached back at about 245pm. We covered a total of about 16-17km i guess. Had a warm bath a Joshua's place, borrowed a set of clean clothes and sandals from him as I had misunderstood the weather earlier. Today, was probably one of the times where I got to excercise. Hopefully in future, more people would be able to join us in our cycling adventures!! IF you are reading this post and feel interested, let me or Joshua know!
